While some of us are lucky enough to have access to reliable mentors, not all of us are that lucky. Alternatively, working with a guide is a great way to gain experience in the mountains. Personally, I’m not a guide. But I do have trusted partners who are five-star guides in the PNW, with a wide array of skills and knowledge.
Skyline Mountain Guides is a guiding company started by my colleague Justin, who I respect immensely. Justin is a high quality human being who bring boundless energy, stoke, and compassion to the outdoors. He is working with Porter, who I have climbed and skied with extensively throughout the Cascades (you can read about how he helped save my life on Sloan).
If you mention “ClimberKyle” in the notes when booking a trip, Justin will hook you up with a free gear rental.
Skyline Mountain Guides is a great option for any PNW adventure – alpine climbing, backcountry skiing, rock climbing, and ice climbing.
In return, I get a small referral bonus. I’m happy to support great guides that I trust, and have a guiding company to direct people who want to get the same wonderful experiences in the mountains that I treasure.
